When and why did you start paragliding?
I started paragliding 5 years ago because a friend of mine was flying. I enjoyed is so much that I never stopped since then.
Why have you applied to participate in the X-Pyr?
It’s one of the biggest adventure races and it’s a great opportunity to discover de Pyrenees.
Why are you attracted to hike & fly?
What I love the most about hike and fly is this possibility to cover crazy distances with the only human and nature power.
What is your greatest sporting success (flying or not flying)?
I finnished 1st at the Wanaka Hike and Fly 2026.
What excites you most about participating in the X-Pyr?
Just thinking about crossing the Pyrenees is already exciting, but doing it in a race even more so.
What is your best result in a H&F competition so far?
3rd on the MontBlanc Air Tour 2025 and 1st on the Wanaka Hike and Fly 2026.
Have you flown in the Pyrenees before? Do you have a favourite area?
I never flew there, it will be exciting to discover some new landscapes during the whole race!
What does your typical training week consist of?
I don’t have a fixed schedule, I’m basically chasing the conditions. If it’s flyable, I fly (most of the time hiking up) and the rest of the time I do some biking and running to complete the training.
What worries you the most about the event?
The thing that scares me the most is an injury.
Personally, how do you feel differently when you participate in H & F races in comparison to XC competitions?
On a hike and fly race you can always recover from a tactical mistake, if you bomb out you can always hike back up.
How do you know your supporter? And have your worked as athlete/supporter before?
We are part of the same XC competition team and we flew some big XC flights together. We never worked as athlete/supporter before but we know each other really well. This will help a lot during the race!!
What advice would you ask of the race veterans?
I would ask them about their biggest mistakes in a hike and fly competitions.
