What do you like about the X-Pyr that keeps you coming back for more?
It’s a coast to coast race 😍
How is the X-Pyr different from other H&F competitions you have taken part in?
It’s the second longest.
How was your race in your previous edition(s)?
Super lucky, with incredible weather conditions.
What was the best thing that happened to you in your last X-Pyr?
Arriving at the beach.
What was the worst thing that happened to you in your last X-Pyr?
The first day 80 km run/walk.
What did you learn during the previous edition(s)?
I discovered the Pyrenees for the first time.
If you could have input into the route, what would you suggest to the organisation?
Straight line coast to coast with many tourpoints to keep the group together. Less than 600km (I do not like to race more than 5 days 🙃)
What changes have you made to your equipment for this edition?
Submarine, fins and snorkel 😂
Apart from flying far and walking little, what will your strategy be during the race?
Do the race together with lots of pilots.
What three pieces of advice would you give to Rookies in the race?
Never think to pass the other competitor but fly with them (do not think this kind of race as a sportive competition). When you bomb out, do not get angry with you supporter 😅. Never think about the past – only to the future.
What about your training? How many hours do you fly a year?
300-400
How do you know your supporter? And have you worked as athlete/supporter before?
My brother and my best friends.
