What do you like about the X-Pyr that keeps you coming back for more?
How wild it is, it’s really special to fly there.

How is the X-Pyr different from other H&F competitions you have taken part in?
It’s the only race we get to start and end on a beach.

How was your race in your previous edition(s)?
It was one of the hardest, but best, experiences I had in hike and fly racing.

What was the best thing that happened to you in your last X-Pyr?
Getting to the goal with my team.

What was the worst thing that happened to you in your last X-Pyr?
Walking to the shower of the camping after a 75 km run on the first day.

What did you learn during the previous edition(s)?
Birds can be misleading, be patient and optimistic, every second counts.

If you could have input into the route, what would you suggest to the organisation?
Straight line to the goal.

What changes have you made to your equipment for this edition?
The Rocket P, a true masterpiece of comfort, safety and performance.

Apart from flying far and walking little, what will your strategy be during the race?
Walking fast and flying safe. Trust my intuition and my team, eat a lot, sleep well and enjoy the adventure.

What three pieces of advice would you give to Rookies in the race?
For me every day in this race is an opportunity to learn and progress. Believe in yourself and push till the end, because it’s worth it.

What about your training? How many hours do you fly a year?
Last year I flew 160h, I wish I could fly more.

How do you know your supporter? And have you worked as athlete/supporter before?
He first supported me at the X-Pyr 2024, then we did the Dolomiti Superfly and the Red Bull X-Alps together. I trust him, we work very well together. He is really talented in this. He brought me to the goal last time, I hope he can do it again.

Without them, the X-Pyr wouldn't exist.
