What is your greatest sporting success?.
Participating in this X-Pyr 2022!!!

When and why did you start paragliding?.
I started in 2009 because I always had a connection with the mountains and the dreamy part of flying.

What is your mountaineering experience?
My experience is that of living next to the Pyrenees and practicing activities in them, basically some recreational skimo mountain races in the Alps and the Pyrenees. Sport climbing and some classic routes. And of course the H&F in the Alps, Pyrenees, Dolomites and once in Slovakia.

What does your typical training week consist of?.
A bit of everything, MTB, road biking and road and mountain running. If my time permits I try to do three activities a week, always prioritizing the flying part.

What are your best and worst sporting memories?.
The best, a small tandem crossing of the Pyrenees with my wife and another couple during the summer of 2016, along with some victories in local H&F competitions.
The worst, a day of bad conditions, precisely during a tandem and with my wife, during a mountain flight. Good takeoff and landing, and a flight to forget!

Why did you choose the X-Pyr?
It’s a race with a very clear objective, from sea to sea. It also goes through the mountains I’ve seen all my life!

Have you participated in the X-Pyr before? How was it?.
I was selected in 2020 but the race had to be cancelled, so I didn’t participate.

Have you flown in the Pyrenees before? What do you think about them?
It’s where I’ve flown the most, I think it’s a complicated mountain range depending on the weather but it offers a variety of very different areas.

What will your strategy be during the race?
Safe, fun, competitive. A unique opportunity to learn from the best in the sport.

What excites you most about the X-Pyr?
Having the opportunity to spend a few days in the mountains with good company and flying gear!

What scares you the most about the event?
Losing track of safety for competitive reasons.

Why will he/she make a good assistant?
Moments of calm in adverse situations and we feel united by the type of physical activity.

Anything else you like to comment?
It’s a difficult year for me to organize myself well, but I’m sure we’re going to enjoy it a lot from the start. See you soon!

Without these guys we would not have the race.
