What is your greatest sporting success?.
My best competition without a doubt was in Canada, the Willi XC where I really felt good camaraderie and many hours flown in excellent conditions, some dates of the Argentinean Championship have been a lot of fun which is the most important thing!

When and why did you start paragliding?
I started paragliding in 2013 in Cuchi Corral, I went to the Aeroclub in La Cumbre with the intention of doing the airplane pilot course and ended up doing the paragliding course! I still don’t know a better way to fly!

What is your mountaineering experience?
Most of my experience is in the sierras of Cordoba, Argentina, where you can do good hikes on peaks up to 2800 meters, some hills in the Cordillera and once, as a family we climbed Kilimanjaro.

What does your typical training week consist of?.
I try to hike with the paragliding backpack between 30 to 40 km always in the mountains and if conditions are good fly as much as possible during the week, some mountain biking to alternate.

What are your best and worst sporting memories?.
The best memories are always the nice flights that end up close to friends or family, sharing a good flight with a friend or arriving home flying after a good ride, the worst seeing another pilot have an accident close by.

Why did you choose the X-Pyr?
For the adventure of crossing the Pyrenees flying and walking. I once flew there and I loved it. In Argentina there are not yet these kind of races and I think it is the best opportunity I can have to have a good adventure there.

Have you participated in the X-Pyr before? How was it??
No.

Have you flown in the Pyrenees before? What do you think about them? No.
Yes, I went once and I loved the area, they are mountains that remind me the ones in Argentina, unlike the Alps I find them more unpopulated and natural. I still have a long way to go!

What will your strategy be during the race??
To fly safe and enjoy the most to be in an event with such a high level of pilots. I’m not going with pressure to look for a result but to live a flying adventure.

What excites you the most about the X-Pyr?
The fact of crossing from end to end this chain is what motivates me the most, the adventure of flying over unknown places, sharing the flights with other pilots.

What scares you the most about the event?.
I think fatigue coupled with strong flying conditions can be a bad combination to be flying a lot. I think just that, the rest is hanging in there….

Why will he/she make a good assistant?
I have every confidence in having a good assistant, a friend of many years and a great sportsman!

Anything else you like to comment?
Thanks to the organization for giving me the opportunity to participate in this X-Pyr, I consider myself a novice compared to the other pilots but we will be there to do our best!

Without these guys we would not have the race.
