What is your greatest sporting success?
6th overall Bordairrace, German record flight at Elfer, Stubai. Crossing the Alps (North->South) only by foot in under 5 days (2 times) and flying a FAI 200km+ triangle in the Alps.
When and why did you start paragliding?
In 2004, my parents are paragliding pilots themselves.
What is your mountaineering experience?
Several 3k+ Peaks in the alps, Vol Biv adventures, several Hike&Fly events over the years
What does your typical training week consist of?
I love to be outside and to train every day. At least 4-5 times (trail-)running and 2-3 times on the bike. And not to forget: hike&fly as much as possible.
What are your best and worst sporting memories?
Finishing my first 200km+ FAI triangle was surely one of the best. One of the worst is the crash in the last X-Pyr edition.
Why did you choose the X-Pyr?
Not only because I love the Pyrenees, I love to hike and I love to fly. These surely are the major reasons besides the thing to fly among the best in this sport of course.
Have you participated in the X-Pyr before? How was it?
Yes, in 2018.
Have you flown in the Pyrenees before? What do you think about them?
Yes and I am looking forward to it again! I love it!
What will your strategy be during the race?
Being thoughtful, making better decisions than last time and having fun!
What excites you most about the X-Pyr?
The adventure itself: to be out in nature, to fly in one of the most beautiful landscapes the world has to offer, the pain and the reward.
What scares you the most about the event?
Scared would not be the correct definition: it’s more about the respect, how nature can hit you in the balls.
Why will he/she make a good assistant?
Because we already know that we are capable of solving tricky situations and forming a good team.
We are an awesome team this year! Lets rock it!
Anything else you like to comment?
See you in the Pyrenees!
