We are thrilled to announce that Swiss pilot Lars Meerstetter will be on the startline. Lars is a well-know competitor in the X-Pyr, having first competed in 2022. Now he has reached the highest echalons of hike & fly races, we will reunite last year’s X-Alps second, third and fourth placed pilots, allowing Lars to compete against two of the previous race winners. He’s in good shape and raring to go. His team mate is Christof Graber. They are great friends, but have never worked as athlete/supporter before. We can’t wait to see how they get on during this edition of the X-Pyr.
And why does Lars want to compete again? He says the reason is “The adventure, the physical challenge, the wild and beautiful nature. The perfectly organised race where everyone loves the sport itself.” Welcome aboard, Lars and Christof!
