What do you like about the X-Pyr that keeps you coming back for more?
Looking for a next adventure with my team.
How is the X-Pyr different from other H&F competitions you have taken part in?
The playground and logistics challenges us.
How was your race in your previous edition(s)?
Uff, one full day hiking – but also a lot of nice flights.
What was the best thing that happened to you in your last X-Pyr?
Good conditions to cross the flatlands and land close to the goal.
What was the worst thing that happened to you in your last X-Pyr?
Hiking in uncomfortable terrain (no trails) and I was a bit lost for some moments…
What did you learn during the previous edition(s)?
Keep going, it pays off.
If you could have input into the route, what would you suggest to the organisation?
Fewer turnpoints gives more options…
What changes have you made to your equipment for this edition?
Working on it – checking all options to know what works best for me.
Apart from flying far and walking little, what will your strategy be during the race?
The race means not only flying.
What three pieces of advice would you give to Rookies in the race?
Train hard, race sustainable.
What about your training? How many hours do you fly a year?
Around 350 hours in the air / 350k vertical meters hiking.
How do you know your supporter? And have you worked as athlete/supporter before?
We competed in the X-Pyr 2022 and X-Alps 2025 together.
Anything else you like to comment?
Happy to see you!
